On the 3rd of March 2014 I visited the NEC in Birmingham with my class and lecturers. We went to the 'Photography Show' where they had all different kinds of stalls and people their buying, selling, promoting their own stuff. It was amazing to see how many people were there and interested in photography, it was overwhelming to me and we went on the last day and it was on for I think 4 days. It was incredible. I went round with a few people trying to take it all in and get something from it, there was so much going on I couldn't believe it, I didn't know what to expect upon arrival and it was great to see as it was an eye opener for me. All of the various things within photography you can do was there including even costumes for shoots as well as the expected things like lenses, cameras, accessories like soft boxes and also companies that print you images for you in to books. It was a good experience to go and I'm glad I did. The image below is of all the leaflets, books and cards I got of people's businesses and also the big names that were there like Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic etc. It was also good as well as finding out about all these companies and the new tech out and networking it was also good because there were talks on about certain things.
